CHAD HUNT PHOTOGRAPHY-
Chad is a photographer that actually graduated from CCAD.. Right now he is exploring through Afghanistan through the war – I am inspired by his photography because of its beauty and the way he captures emotion, the view and many other things.. I am in love with his current journeys to Afghanistan because I love seeing photography that displays the real and actuality of a subject. Plus this subject means a lot to people that have loved ones fighting in the war over there – For me I want to secretly be able to do some kind of photography like Chad that enables me to travel and seek through what might be dangerous just to display the real truth.

MY CHOICE-
I want to explore a subject matter of photography that is real, involved, legit and most all photography that gets deep into a subject and moves someone to wanna just stare at the photos for a long long time.. Theres a couple of photographers I want to explore within this – Chad Hunt, Time Hetherington & a couple others (need to find their websites again)..
I have not tried to completely emulate work like this full on – But the reason to care about it comes from the fact that everyone knows someone that is in hardship, in the war, fighting for their lives, or know of something that is difficult in someones life.. & not everyone can depict these hard times or things that are making them fight for something difficult – So being able to photograph other peoples hardships and get deep into the truth inspires me to want to ignore the lies or half truths that people hide behind because their afraid of knowing or showing the truth.. – Honesty is something everyone wants whether its in a relationship, from the people in our government, from our parents or children and many other things.. but not everyone wants to be able to handle truth from topics that might be killing, hurting or worse because their afraid of it.. to me this doesnt make any sense so i want to look past what people might not want to know and get deep into a truth thats hidden to show it all.. because these photographers inspire me to do that..

1. Why this particular song/piece?

I chose these particular clips from Cascada’s songs because when I think of
Techno that is influencial and enjoyable, I think of her music.

2. how does this song effect your color scheme – why?

I dont think that the song effects my color scheme in any way because I
didnt intend on that being the point of my choice in song and overall idea.

3. why your using this specific set of images and how does it effect the
content of the movie. (music choice, historical, symbolic, etc.)

I came up with taking pictures because I enjoy incorporating still imagery
into my projects. They were taken/chosen because I plan to use them in an
effective way of displaying a psychedelic trance feel.

4. what do you hope the viewer’s experience is? (emotional, political,
etc.)

I hope my viewers take away the feel of being in an trance and sinking into the
music and its techno beats. Techno gives me a good feeling, somewhat exciting
and alive – I hope they take that emotion away as well.

so for this project my plan is to do overlays of photos that have a florescent kind of glow & then put them into video format and set them at a fast pace to show some kind of movement and variance of colors throughout the piece. here are some of the overlays that will be incorporated. many of them will get color changes and different kind of brushes added upon them to make them more of a “trance” mixed with the techno movement and song choice.

MY IDEA.

i want to come up with an object and use my colors to make a video that quickly switches colors back and forth and creates a “trance” feel. through the trance i wanted this object to move within the beats and what not through the song of my choice.
